General Care
Remove your jewelry while applying perfume, lotion or other chemical products
Avoid wearing during any extreme activities - swimming or sports - and remove when sleeping
Clean with Luke warm water and mild soap. Use a soft cotton cloth to dry and wipe down dirt
Storage
Store in a clean and dry place. Avoid leaving in water. I recommend hanging necklaces to avoid the chain and charms being tangled. Recommended to store in a soft cloth bag or jewelry box to prevent tarnishing
Stretchy Bracelet
To extend the life of your stretchy bracelet, gently roll it on and off your wrist. Refrain from stretching beyond that, or it can snap and elongate the elastic.
Polymer Clay
Polymer Clay is made of synthetic polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is hardened through baking. It is composed of non-toxic plastics, colorants, resins and fillers.
Keep them away from other jewelry/sharp objects to avoid surface scratches. Avoid getting them wet, and away from chemicals and makeup.
Although your piece won’t break when dropped or bent, please avoid doing so.
To clean, wipe clean with a soft damp cloth.
**Due to the nature of handmade items no pair is identical, which makes each one special and unique.
Crystal & Gemstones
Crystals are believed to absorb energy and can be cleansed and recharged periodically. Some methods include, running water, sunlight or placing them on a cleansing crystal like Selenite.
Some crystals are more delicate than others and colors may fade over time from exposure to sunlight. For more specific care, please refer to the crystal card or rely on crystal expert guides! I am by no means a crystal expert.
**Natural gemstones and freshwater pearls will have some variation in color, size and shape in comparison.
Gold Plated vs Gold Filled Jewelry Findings
Gold Plated generally is a thinner layer of gold on a base metal and is least tarnish resistant.
Gold Filled jewelry uses a thicker layer of gold and mechanically bonds to the base material.
14k vs 18k vs 24k
The lower the karate the more metals are mixed in with the gold. This allows for a higher durability but a slightly less vibrant yellow compared to pure or 24k gold.
The higher the karate, like 24k of 99.99% gold, offers a very vibrant color but the least amount of durability due to the softness of the gold.
All of my materials I ethically source locally or from other small businesses online as well as using high quality products to ensure a longer life span. Please keep in mind that the life span varies with your jewelry care.
